Practice Tips
- Start slower than the marked tempo, then nudge up 4–8 BPM once it feels easy.
- Use accent groupings on odd meters (like 7/8 as 2+2+3) so your body feels the phrase, not just the count.
- Practice with subdivisions on, then turn them off — you should still feel the smaller pulse inside.
- Mute a beat (tap a dot twice) to practice “thinking” that beat while you play.
- Tap tempo once with your foot or finger so the metronome matches how you already feel the piece.
