Deyan Bratic
Born of Serbian immigrants, Deyan Bratic is a multifaceted musician who began his musical journey at age six studying classical piano, which he would pursue for thirteen years before committing himself to the guitar.
With Bachelor's and Master's degrees in music from Webster University, Deyan specializes in classical guitar, but also has an extensive background in fingerstyle guitar, particularly in the style of Chet Atkins.
In addition to being an actively performing classical guitarist and teacher, Deyan is also a published author, with titles to his credit being among the most successful releases in Mel Bay Publications' history.
Such include Chet Atkins In Three Dimensions, Volumes 1 and 2: 50 Years of Legendary Guitar (Mel Bay, 2003, 2004), and The Magnificent Guitar of Jorge Morel: A Life of Music (Mel Bay, 2007).
He was also a music transcriber for Fingerstyle Guitar magazine from 2002 until 2007, and his transcribing work has been featured in countless publications.
