Andrew teaches private, after-school lessons in violin and viola throughout the week. He is also the Middle School Strings Teacher at the Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School (MICDS), while pursuing a Masters in Music Education via University of Missouri (Mizzou).
Andrew earned his Bachelor of Music in String Performance at the University of Missouri under Professor Leslie Perna, and Graduate Studies at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee under Rictor Noren. While working with his professors, Andrew learned how to spot technical and theoretical gaps that tend to get in the way of student growth.
Having taught years of private lessons in viola, Andrew began to develope deep interest in teaching violin. He was active in the Missouri String Project, an after school program for Columbia’s third through fifth graders.
Outside of music, Andrew stays active in overall health and wellness. His ideal philosophy is all about promoting the highest level of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth.
